Our Norwegian Heritage

Our Norwegian heritage comes from our mother’s lines. Our maternal grandfather Charles Melvin Olson was born in Greenbush, Minnesota.

Grandfather Olson’s parents, Christopher (Chris) Olson and Carrie Josephine Pederson were both of Norwegian descent. Great Grandfather, Christopher Olson was born in Kristiania (Oslo), Norway. Great Grandmother, Carrie Pederson was born in Cook County, Chicago, Illinois.

Information and images have now been added to the Norwegian Heritage section. More information and images will be added to the Norwegian Heritage section in the future as family lines are expanded to include content our grandparents siblings and other family members.

Great Grandmother’s “Langamma” family

This morning I added information on the parents of Gudrun “Johanna”  our  “langamma”.  An image of Einar Eymundsson and Thorbjorg (Thorvardursdottir) is included with the information. Many thanks to Nelson Gerrard for this priceless family treasure!

More information will be added on Johanna’s siblings as time allows.

Later today, I hope to include some information and images on our Amma’s family, the Olafssons.

Dedication of Eymundson Family Heritage site

The Eymundson Family Heritage site’s launch, on March 08th 2013, coincided with the 69th anniversary of our parents, “Romeo” Charles & Agnes May (nee Olson) Eymundson as well as the 103rd anniversary of our grandparents, Matusalem “Charles” & Asdis “Sophia” (nee Olafsson) Eymundson.

This heritage site is dedicated to our parents, grandparents, and to all our ancestors and their descendants. Enjoy!

About “Our Heritage” information

Please keep in mind that the genealogical information contained within the different categories of “Our Heritage” shall be expanded on as time allows. To facilitate an earlier site launch date, I have included basic information in each category (American, Canadian, English, Icelandic and Norwegian).

Of course, there is much more information that shall be added. For instance, later their shall be a link from  Gudrun ‘Johanna’ Einarsdottir, our  lang langamma, to another page that will provide information on what we have learned about her parents and siblings (Einarsdottir/Einarsson line). For our langamma, Sophia, there will be a link provided to a page about her parents and siblings, and so on.

This way I shall be able to expand on the lines without having to go back and edit the original pages unless we learn something that leads us to believe the information needs to be edited.

Welcome to the Eymundson Family Heritage site blog page!
